Romanian Energy Center

The Romanian Energy Center (CRE) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that represents the interests of state-owned and private companies operating on the Romanian energy market towards national and European institutions.

Our Mission

CRE functions as a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization that identifies, supports and equally represents the interests of its members.

Objectives

The main objective of CRE is to promote the active participation of Romanian state-owned and private energy companies in European partnerships, in co-financed projects and, more importantly, in the European decision-making process. CRE advocates for the interests of the Romanian energy sector.

About Us

Romanian Energy Center (CRE) was established in 2011, in Brussels and Bucharest at the same time.

The Romanian Energy Center contributes to European decision-making with the aim of encouraging and promoting investments in low-carbon technologies and support the transition to a decarbonized energy system.

Members

CRE represents both public-owned companies and private companies involved in the energy sector.

EDDIE PROJECT PARTICIPATED AT ENLIT EUROPE 2022

The representatives of the EDDIE project participated and contributed in the last part of the year 2022 at ENLIT Europe Event, which was held between 29th of November and the 1st of December in Frankfurt, Germany.

The representatives of the Romanian Energy Center (CRE) Association participated and contributed at the 5th International Advisory Board (IAB) of EDDIE Project – „EDucation for Digitalization of Energy”, which took place in the Online Environment. This important Meeting was organized by the Project Coordinator COMILLAS Pontifical University, on Thursday, 24th of November 2022.

THE ROMANIAN ENERGY CENTER ASSOCIATION PARTICIPATED AT THE ETIP SNET WEBINAR

The representatives of the Romanian Energy Center Association (CRE) participated at the ”Digitally enabled renewable energy communities: The role of citizens in the clean energy transition” Webinar, organised by ETIP SNET Platform, on Wednesday, 7th of September 2022, hosted online. This webinar presented guidelines and practical implications of how adopting a consumer/prosumer-centric approach and enabling energy communities can be pivotal in enhancing the energy transformation for reaching Fit for 55 targets and supporting the REPowerEU plan through the use of digital solutions.

ROMANIAN ENERGY CENTER ASSOCIATION AT THE PACT FOR SKILLS NETWORKING EVENT

The representatives of the Romanian Energy Center (CRE) Association participated at the ”Networking Event for Pact for Skills Members”, organized as an online event, by the European Commission (EC), on Tuesday, 31st of May 2022. The Pact for Skills was launched in November 2020 by the European Commission as a shared engagement model for skills development in Europe aiming to maximise the impact of investing in upskilling and reskilling.

CIPRE 2022 will allow the industry to get back together to share experiences, as well as network and develop connections to collaborate on securing Europe.
